It’s hard to keep track if Weezer is still a “cool” band or not. Depending on who you ask, they are either the Patron Saints of Nerd Rock or a washed-up, older version of the latest punk-pop act. We waver daily, but the band’s legacy of catchy pop songs underneath a sea of crunchy grunge-lite guitars has already been cemented with tracks “Buddy Holly,” “Hash Pipe” and, hell, virtually all of “Pinkerton.” They are playing two night stands throughout the country including these two shows at Roseland. On the first night (seen here) of each residency, the band will perform their triple-platinum 1994 debut, "Weezer" (aka The Blue Album) from start to finish. On the second night, they’ll perform 1996’s follow-up "Pinkerton." With Free Energy.
