Opened by Carl Redding in 1998, just a year after grandma Amy Ruth passed away, this bastion of Southern authenticity is a delight to behold. The food is strictly traditional American soul dishes, whose monikers are derived from prominent African Americans. Order the "Barbara Askins" (fried or smothered pork chops), the "Rev.
