Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar: User Reviews
Tables are too close together and small. Service was slow. Flatbread with mushrooms
was really good though.

The staff is incredibly nice and attentive. If you don't know your way
around wine be sure to ask questions and let them know what you like.
They'll lead you to a good bottle of wine within whatever your price
range may be.

Ayza is a great, cozy, buzzing little wine bar in the West Village.
The prices are a little steep ($9-18 a glass), but the pours are
fairly generous. The crowd was very chill and
everyone seemed to be relaxing and having a good time.

Stumbled upon this place while wandering around the Village on a Sunday night. I love the idea of wine and chocolate together. Their decor is very modern--lots of glass, metal, and very angular lighting fixtures. This bar is pretty sexy. I had the wine flight of two whites/two reds (Chenin Blanc and Pinot Grigio, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvingnon), and my friend had their Sparkelle Peach champagne. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends!

I’ve never been one for wine, but the bartender, Michael, recommended that I try a dessert wine. I ordered the ice riesling...so good! I’ve never had a sweet wine before, but I think sweet wine may be my gateway drug. Thanks for the recommendation, Michael!
