Those wondering whether Fiat Café is named for the adorable Italian automobile will know the score once they arrive at this charming little spot. Images of these classic compact cars adorn the walls, and the booths are sports-car red. Owner Stephan Iacovelli, who partnered with his brother at notable spots like Soho’s Jean Claude and the shuttered Banania Café in Carroll Gardens, has struck out on his own. Like the French/Italian Iacovelli, the menu leans towards the Continental, with eggs Florentine for breakfast; panini for lunch; and pastas like a spaghetti with anchovies, black olives and bread crumbs for dinner. A beer and wine license is in the works, but in the meantime, you can sip espresso (made with thematically appropriate Autobahn beans) turned out from a sparkling yellow La Marzocco machine.
