Lobster Joint

Reproducing the Maine lobster roll is a tall order for mortal restauranteurs, though Luke's comes mighty close. Now there's a new player in the crustacean game: Lobster Joint. The Greenpoint eatery serves its roll with chips, pickles and slaw, and for under $20, alongside a menu of other oceanic sammies like a clam roll, crab cake sandwich, fish sandwich, and a burger and veggie melt for good measure. The diminutive name belies the scope of Lobster Joint's aspirations: There's plenty of bench and bar space here for tucking into a lobster dinner, moules frites, or a plate of lobster mac and cheese. As a friendly reminder that you're in Brooklyn and not Maine, cocktails come by the pitcher.
