Situated a stone's throw from Park Slope's bustling Co-op, this small prepared foods shop is the perfect solution for nights when Slope parents don't have the energy to throw together their own locavore-friendly dinner. Owner (and mom) Misty Kurpier is a Park Slope resident who knows her clientele well, offering kid friendly fare like mac-and-cheese, Balthazar pastries and Ample Hills Creamery ice cream (made in-house). That doesn't mean big kids will be left out, however. Prepared, by-the-pound offerings include grilled chimichurri hanger steak; pastas; fish entrees; and roasted beets with mustard seed, lentils and onions. Espresso drinks and drip coffee—all made from socially conscious Crop-to-Cup beans—should help keep the neighborhood's moms and dads energized as well.
