Modca

From the owners of popular nearby coffee shop El Beit comes Modca, an airy, bright space serving the same 49th Parallel espresso beans, but with expanded seating and full lunch and dinner service. A wood-burning oven is the star of the kitchen, and it's used to great effect, turning out everything from half a dozen sharable flatbreads (try the prosciutto, artichoke, and garlic oil, $9.50) to pork belly confit with potato gratin and pickled fennel and apples ($14). Expect the menu to change often and hours to expand with the arrival of their liquor license later this month.
