P.J. Clarke's on the Hudson
- Neighborhood: Financial District
- 250 Vesey St.
- New York, NY 10281
- 212-285-1500
The original P.J. Clarke's in Midtown may have been frequented by Frank Sinatra, but the latest iteration of the vintage New York bar franchise has Lady Liberty, and you don't even need beer goggles to enjoy her presence (although it's easy to try). The outdoor patio at this Financial District destination has the view you'll want to show out-of-town guests, with the Statue of Liberty in sight from every seat. The décor borrows from the original location, walls busy with photos of old New York hung above leather booths. Also inside is a long, marble oyster bar, but you'll find American classics like burgers and steaks on the menu, too. It all goes down well with a beer—you're at an Irish bar, after all.
