- Price range: $$ ($9-$15)
Since it's unlikely that you'll be fishing for clams in Maine anytime soon, let the experts here do the work for you. The expanded bar now caters to twice as many customers, yet the place remains just as packed as its former spot. Seafood is the draw: chowders, fried clams, creamy mussels, steamed whole fish, lobster rolls. Grab a seat at the bar and watch chef Rebecca Charles create her famed lobster roll. There's not much in the way of decor: just a big counter and some tables. But the neighborhood people (and lots of folks from outside the nabe) like the place so much, they're willing to wait in line to get in.
