Ted & Honey
- Neighborhood: Cobble Hill
- 264 Clinton St.
- Brooklyn , NY 11201
- Price range: $ (Under $9)
This cute and crunchy cafe from brother-and-sister team Ted and Honey (their childhood nicknames) is a welcome edition to a Cobble Hill West neighborhood lacking in go-to salad and sandwich options. After helping launch an all-green restaurant in Pittsburgh, it's no surprise that Ted puts an emphasis on sustainable and eco-friendly ingredients, like La Quercia proscuitto (featured in a signature panini with manchego, roasted peppers and mint) and Freebird all-natural chickens. Everything here's homemade—from the breakfast pastries to the mocha sauce for the espresso drinks—and the offerings include retail pantry staples from the owners' list of favorite things (Rick's Picks, Scarpetta pasta sauce, house blend coffee from D'Amico's on Court St.). And with salads like watermelon and goat cheese available in three sizes to-go, there's no excuse for not grabbing some picnic fixings to enjoy in tranquil Cobble Hill Park right next door.
