This West Village luncheonette may have a few tricks up its sleeve, but during the day it just serves casual American fare that will leave you suitably charmed (that fireplace in the room doesn't hurt, either). Look for items like burgers topped with fried eggs and small plates that should make your afternoon go by in a jiff. All of this is served in a rustic townhouse, which is ripped from pretty much everyone's ideal fantasy of the West Village (the one that doesn't involve $2,000 studio apartments). During the evening, you can head to the second floor of the building for a visit to a clubby bar that has numerous beers on tap. Oh, and take the spot's name seriously—it's tiny in there, so don't be surprised if you find a notable lack of elbow room.
