Owner Dan Warren likes his Alphabet City bar/restaurant Common Ground so much, he decided to model his new Noho gastropub after the original—although he cautions it's not a clone. Chef David Scott Walker, recently of the French Culinary Institute, is manning the stove, offering a menu that's a bit pricier and more upscale than its Avenue A counterpart, but still focuses on American comfort foods. Expect burgers, sliders, seared duck breast and crawfish Monica—a New Orleans’ Jazz Fest standby—served in a casual, gastropub atmosphere. The 12 draft beers and eight TVs will certainly attract a sporty crowd, although Walker warns this isn't purely a sports bar, calling it a "neighborhood bar with unbelievable food."
