This is such a fun place! There’s something quirky about everything. From the placemats, napkin holders and seating to the cute chopsticks and its quaint decor, everything about Graffiti is avant-garde. If you like to experiment then you will have a good time here.
Graffiti is owned by Chef Jehangir Mehta and I found out that he’s a participant on the Next Iron Chef. Eating at the restaurant of a celebrity chef certainly upped the entertainment factor for me. His food is delicious. I had two helpings of Green Mango Paneer which just melted in my mouth followed by a Zuchini Hummus Pizza and Chili Pork Dumplings. I ended my meal with Hazelnut Chocolate Cupcake with Chocolate Caviar which is absolutely awesome!

If you want exceptionally good food at a reasonable rate then Graffiti is the place for you. It has a warm, eating- out- of- your- own- living- room sort of atmosphere and the tables are placed in such a way that you can’t help but befriend your neighbors. Although the place is a lot of fun, it’s probably not suitable for people who want a lot of privacy or a lot of space to move around while eating. That’s its only drawback (although at times I do feel tempted to take my parents along with me so they can get a taste of Jehangir Mehta’s truly inspired preparations). Chef Jehangir Mehta has created a warm, informal and colorful space that literally draws you in. You can’t help but get comfortable after the first ten minutes.
That said, the food at Graffiti is the real reason why I have become such a devoted fan of the place. It caters to the average person while maintaining gourmet standards.
A celebrated pastry chef with experience in the kitchens of Aix, Virot, Compass and Jean-Georges, Jehangir Mehta has proved that his unique talents extend to the savory domain as well. His foods consist of burgers, dumplings, pizzas, buns and salads. It’s no wonder Graffiti received a Zagat rating of 26 (Exceptional).
If you’re tempted to try Graffiti out, don’t forget to try their chili pork dumplings ($12). Delicately spiced pork enclosed in moist rice paste pouches dressed in tart and fresh grapefruit confit, they melt in your mouth in an explosion of flavor and texture. I also loved the duck portobello gratinee ($15).
