Back in the days when Tina Brown was a rising star and Nancy and Ronnie were the First Couple, Indochine was the place to see and be seen. Surprisingly, it's retained its celeb following, and its glamorous banquettes are still filled with Downtown club kids and Uptown trust-fund kids out on a spree. The setting is the same: showy tropical flowers and palm trees (real and fake) surround a buzzy bar. While food was never the issue here, the fried spring rolls are still delicious and the filet mignon is as good as it ever was.
