Occupying the 4,100-square-foot space on the ground floor of LIC’s East Coast 6 building (and a serious culinary void), this trendy Asian-fusion restaurant, bar and lounge comes from two brothers with 18-years experience serving authentic Chinese cuisine to the United Nations. (Are members of the General Assembly picky eaters, we say yes). Here, that line on their resume pays off in the form of moo goo gai pan and a customizable wok sautéed, where you can choose your meat, vegetables and sauce. The twist (and there must always be a twist) becomes evident in dishes like pineapple and raisin fried rice and lychee calamari; a Japanese sushi bar has all the usual suspects, plus a few specialty rolls like the aptly named Firecracker (crunchy spicy yellowtail with jalapeno) and the Skinny (crabstick and avocado topped with assorted raw fish and tobiko).
