Aussie fave Sunburnt Calf, on the Upper West Side, is traveling doooooown under. Well, down to Brooklyn at least: They've opened a spin-off in Prospect Heights. The menu here—from co-chefs Christopher Faulkner (Colors) and Jimmy Tu (Eleven Madison Park)—is distinct from Calf 1.0 and has a stronger Asian flavor ("Australasian," as it's dubbed), owing to Australia's strong Asian population. You'll find, for instance, a number noodle dishes like beer-battered barramundi with vermicelli; satays and steamed pork buns; and a section of wraps using either roti or lettuce leaves, and filled with proteins like tea-smoked duck, lemongrass grilled shrimp and star anise–braised brisket.
