The Israel import expands with its second New York location on the artisan-coffee-deprived Upper West Side. The bi-level outpost offers rows of sleek wood tables flanked by red leather stools in a trendy Euro atmosphere, plus a free piece of milk chocolate with every cup of joe. In addition to the lineup of usual suspects (cappuccino, espresso, lattes with foam art) served at the optimal temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit, signature drinks include the Aroma Coffee (espresso, Aroma chocolate, steamed milk, whipped cream and cocoa) and the Ice Aroma, a frozen coffee that rivals the Starbucks frappuccino. Mediterranean-inflected light fare like freshly made sandwiches of grilled halumi cheese or feta, olive tapenade and olive oil-drizzled tomato complement the selection of croissants, muffins and vegan cupcakes from Sweet Cheeks. An upstairs lounge area with couches and a patio encourages prolonged Internet surfing using the free Wi-Fi.
