James and the Giant Peach is one of the cool cocktails you can grab during this swanky Hell's Kitchen lounge's popular happy hour, which runs twice on weeknights, post-work and post-midnight. Those are the best times to pop in with opposite-sex work pals or a date into this low-lit, reddish, velvet-and-leather moody hangout, one of the more sophisticated and non-touristy spots in the Theater District. The global small plates menu is okay, with mussels, calamari and an arondissement of crepes (sweet and savory), but you're best sticking with the drinks, which also include Belgian beers, and bobbing to the live DJs or, if you're lucky, belly dancers.
