We know you love rotisserie roasted chicken and we know you love the idea of enjoying a hearty lunch at a price that makes the five dollar foot long seem like a raw deal. But will you trek out to Long Island City for a $3.75 weekday lunch special? A quarter chicken, rice and beans for under four bucks may just be worth jumping on the lunchtime V train (11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday). Pollos 36 is the latest purveyor to challenge Pio Pio's reign as the king of Queens when it comes to Peruvian roasted chicken. But this no-frills spot is setting its sights even highe—-trying to spark a “green sauce revolution,” touting their piquant condiment as the perfect complement to crisp-skinned roasted chicken. As you might expect, there's lots of pollo on the menu, from quarter, half and whole rotisserie birds to chicken sandwiches and grilled chicken breast entrees. But there's also a wide range of other options like Angus burgers, empanadas and Peruvian-style shrimp fried rice for those who don't dig cluckers.
