Nanking

This upscale Chinese/Thai mini-chain has migrated from the suburbs and landed smack-dab in the middle of the Theater District. Their extensive menu hits all bases, from unadventurous "Mama Mia"–goers (chicken satay) to more intrepid types with a craving for a little heat (spicy Szechuan shrimp). And they're open late, so if you’re stumbling home from one of the nabe’s few remaining gentleman’s clubs, duck in and grab a nightcap and a plate of chop suey before slinking home.
