Nobu knockoff or not, this 50-seat spot in the Village offers quality pan-Asian cuisine at reasonable prices, so who’s to complain (other than Nobu honchos)? John Lin, a former chef for the haute Asian eatery chain, serves up interestingly prepared Japanese, Thai and Chinese dishes like a heart-shaped Pink Lady sushi roll wrapped in pink soybean or a crisp tuna tortilla pizza made with raw fish, guacamole and spicy aioli. Old favorites, like the broiled black cod glazed in saikyo miso sauce, make an appearance, but so do new favorites like the crispy orange beef.
