Don't call it a comback / Peter Hoffman's been here for years / Rockin' his peers and puttin suckas in fear...of not having that delicios farm-to-table grub that Savoy delivered for two decades at Savoy. The restaurant closed, but it reopened as Back Forty West, sister restaurant to Hoffman's East Village spot, Back Forty. What's going on in Soho is in many ways similar to the EV location—Back Forty chef Shanna Pacifico will run the Soho kitchen—but with noteworthy additions like a smoker on the second floor, one-pot entrees like cassoulet and feijoada, and big dishes like suckling pig meant for groups. Thanks to a partnership with Greenport Harbor Brewing and Ben Granger of Bierkraft, Back Forty West will also serve Super Freekah Beer, made with a roasted green wheat, on draft. It's just the drink for when you're making tears rain down like a monsoon / listenin' to the bass go boom.
