Downtown private club Norwood has just rebooted its upstairs dining room and turned it into this more laid-back space, replete with a more casual, brasserie-ish American menu better suited to sharing and lounging around. Helming the burners is Andrew D'Ambrosi, the hyper-kinetic and endearingly quirky "Top Chef" alum who's been with Norwood for the last year. At Club Room, he's given the menu a stronger bar-food feel, with homemade charcuterie, bacon and pates, alongside more composed bites like braised lamb belly and duck confit with daikon pancakes. As befits the chill vibe, a bar has been installed up front, with a smaller dining space at back. Which all means: Time to start hounding your friends who are Norwood members and finagle your way to a plus-one invite.
