Consider it stopover No. 1 for young international celebrities who are staying upstairs in Andre Balazs’s trendy Mercer Hotel and want to avoid paparazzi by taking the elevator down to eat rather than venture outside into Soho’s streets. It helps that the hip, brick-lined, multilevel restaurant serves excellent Asian-inspired American Provencal cuisine by uber chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, here at the top of his game.
