Collecting the spillover from his eponymous sake bar on East 7th, Satsko Watanabe poured it into this second location on the Lower East Side, a larger bar with double the seats and a complete Pan-Asian menu, but one that retains the original's intimate and low-key local vibe. The familiar bamboo and red lanterns are back, as are the dozens of premium sakes (divided by inland or coastal, and offered by the glass, carafe or bottle), like the dry 16% "Gift of Thunder" Haikkasan junmai. If you're still standing after a 6-flight tasting, order the Ill-tempered bass (Red Hook beer-macerated Chilean sea bass) or a New York steak with oxtail maitake tortellini.
