Rising skyward on Brooklyn's Fourth Avenue, sleek Hotel le Bleu cuts an incongruous silhouette among the neighboring gas stations and strip malls. Still, if there's one thing this neglected area on the outskirts of Park Slope needs, it's a serious restaurant. Starting with a very soft friends-and-family opening in early July, Vue Restaurant and Lounge will turn out plates from chef Chris Cheung, formerly of Monkey Bar. The New American menu sticks to crowd-pleasers like a grilled chicken cobb salad and seared salmon with meyer lemon marmalade. Even if it's not situated on the most quaint block in Brooklyn, the rooftop bar will likely become a destination for those looking for skyline views and a swanky change of pace from the local dives.
