This tiny fusion restaurant on the far-flung, easternmost fringes of Chinatown quite possibly boasts more nationalities than any of its New Yorker mutt patrons (a self-professed mix of American, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern with a dash of Asian). The result is a (random) menu with something for nearly all taste buds: sandwiches served on whole wheat bread or baguettes get as exotic as curry chicken with watercress and grape tomatoes and as vegetarian-friendly as avocado and hummus topped with alfalfa sprouts, tomatoes and shredded carrots. Entrees range from skirt steak to fish tacos. Seriously, fish tacos? If one thing’s consistent, the food is all organic and health-conscious, perhaps with the exception of the homemade pecan caramel and chocolate chip cookies sold 2 for $1.50.
