Bar Pleiades
Located right off the lobby of the recently renovated Surry Hotel, Daniel Boulud's Bar Pleiades pours creative and classic cocktails in a snazzy, Art Deco-esque space with optimal people-watching windows. Many of the drinks' off-the-beaten-path ingredients, like unusual bitters and fruit concoctions, are made in-house by bartender and Vancouver transplant Cameron Bogue, while wine and beer are also available, should you be in the mood for something less elaborate than a Vieux Carre (rye, cognac, vermouth, Benedictine and bitters). No food, sadly, although a Bar Pleiades-to-Cafe Boulud, cocktails-to-dinner transition would be most pleasant.
