These barbecued brisket sliders with pickled okra and hot chile peppers, on the other hand, have plenty of time to rest. “That brisket cooks for about 12 to 15 hours,” Daversa explained. “And then we braise the meat for another four to six hours. It takes almost a day to cook.” And then that it takes about 10 seconds to scarf down that heavenly slider.
