A very odd couple attends the 2009 Village Voice Choice Eats

Alex and I spoke with Robert Sietsema and Sarah DiGregorio, the Village Voice critics who so generously organized Choice Eats. They were very nice, though they had no idea why they were talking to me. I was very appreciative that they let me eat all this free food.

The reason they are wearing masks is because food critics can't have pictures of their faces published, otherwise every restaurant will be on the lookout for them. That makes sense. It makes less sense why Robert and Sarah's masks had to look like they are about to murder or orgy the crap out of me, respectively.
