Bella Napoli
March 31, 2009
Our first stop was Bella Napoli's booth. Alex and I had big plans to do a big fat lap around the place before deciding what to try. But my appetite stopped short after about 7 feet. "Yeah, no, let's eat all the time." Alex rightly didn't want us to get full before we'd seen all the options, but I looked at her like I was a foreigner—and my language doesn't have a word for "full."
We tried the "Jo-Jo's", which are sort of like sliced meat stromboli. I told the chef that my dad, who's Italian and an amazing cook, makes stuffed sausage bread, but the Jo-Jo's were better. I was lying. Sorry!
While we were eating these, I asked Alex what she thought, and she motioned me to wait and then said, "Unlike other people, I don't like to talk with my mouth full."
