Chelsea Market After Dark at the 2009 NYC Wine & Food Festival

And they're off! NYC kicks off four marathon days of gluttony at Chelsea Market After Dark.

By 9 p.m. on Thursday night, the lines around the Meatpacking District rivaled that of any rock concert, as foodie fans waited to enter Chelsea Market After Dark, the NYC Wine & Food Festival's kickoff party. 

When the doors opened, revelers streamed inside to snap pictures with Food Network deities Guy Fieri and Sandra Lee, chat up food celebs like Anne Burrell and Katie Lee Joel (pictured), and sample for a smorgasbord of impeccable eats and drinks: L'arte del Gelato, sweets from Sarabeth's, and rivers of wine, cocktails and beer. 

Considering the amount of alcohol consumed, let's hope it was a night everyone could remember...
