Masala Mary | Bread Bar at Tabla
Credit:Melissa Hom
The spooky scoop: You're in luck, heat-seeking blood-suckers: At the airy, downstairs companion to Floyd Cardoz's haute Flatiron District Indian eatery, vampire wannabes can nibble pillow-soft naan (skip the garlic if you know what's good for you) and sip the Bloody Mary's exotic sibling: the marvelous Masala Mary.
Frighteningly delicious? This twist on the hangover cure features Cardoz's flavorful, house-concocted masala blend, including mustard seeds, peppercorns, tamarind and ginger, mixed with tomato juice and vodka and served with house-pickled onions. The result is smoky and piquant, with a monster wallop of booze.
