If anybody can make us drool at the prospect of British surf and turf, it’s The Spotted Pig's Bloomfield. The November opening of The John Dory, her second restaurant with Ken Friedman, has been one of the year’s most anticipated, making Bloomfield one of the precious few female chefs whose every move is followed with slavish devotion. The Michelin-starred chef probably doesn’t get much sleep these days: Right on the heels of John Dory, she and Friedman are gearing up for the February opening of an as-yet-unnamed restaurant in the Ace Hotel.
