Craving something savory, I venture toward Canal Street’s heaving hordes. Near a jewelry store, I spy Xing Wang (north side of Canal St. between Baxter and Mulberry Sts.). I saunter closer to the cart, discovering a treasure trove of one-buck comestibles.
