Fong Inn Too

With my stomach filled with sweet bread, I saunter down Mott Street, eyeballing the trashy tourist tchotchkes and "I LOVE NY" tees. Soon, though, I spot Fong Inn Too (46 Mott St., 212-962-5196), a throwback to an earlier, skuzzier Chinatown.
Fong sells homemade goodies including rice noodles, soy milk and fried turnip cakes, but they’re all too costly. Luckily, a hot bowl of sweet taho (soybean custard) costs 90 cents. Sold.
