“Do you have a restaurant that you love or admire for seafood in the city?” we ask White. He smiles widely: “Not yet, I don’t!”
He quickly clarifies that he’s in his own restaurants all the time, and has an (Italian, of course) wife and 5-year-old daughter at home. “I’m not one of those chefs that eats out all the time. Now there are those chefs that get to play—we won’t name any names.” You could name names, we counter. White simply laughs.
