In honor of the deliciousness of Brooklyn, Metromix teamed up with the fine folks at the Bell House to host the inaugural Hot Plates Live, a walk-around tasting that featured some of our favorite (new) Brooklyn restaurants. A crowd of 200 crowded (but not too) into the main room of the Gowanus rock club to sample dishes including grilled octopus (Bussaco), green tomatillo gazpacho (Calexico Carne Asada) and golden pickled eggs (The Vanderbilt). Other participants included Aqualis Grill, Eat Records, Latitude Zero, Mesa Coyoacan, Sui Ren, Umi Nom, Vue and Zuzu Ramen. See you at the next Hot Plates Live, ya heard!!
