Whether or not you live in the East Village, Frank is probably one of your favorite spots. From Frank Prisinzano, the man who also brought us Lil Frankie's and Supper, Frank the restaurant brings Grandma's cooking straight to Second Avenue. The hand-scrawled chalkboard menu teases out must-haves like squid-ink spaghetti and sweet-savory squash ravioli, plus daily specials. Mismatched chairs and a painfully hip staff keep the downtown vibe alive. Frank also delivers to a wide area, serves until 2 a.m. on weekends, and does up a pretty good brunch, too.
