Why he loves it: "The waiters are unemployed actors, but for some reason they’re charming. You can have classical American dishes: chicken pot pie paired with a wonderful California chardonnay...it’s what heaven will be like. A very generous list, with dessert wines, things you can’t find—interesting American items."
What time of day do you like to go? “It’s a typically Italian thing and Americans don’t understand it: I’ll treat lunch the way other people treat dinner. You have to understand that in Naples, lunch takes three hours. The whole city shuts down."
So you’re a fan of drinking during the day? “Always. Always.”
