Who's serving what at the NYC Wine & Food Fest's premier event
The inaugural New York City Wine & Food Festival hits our restaurant-obsessed city Oct. 9–12 as the largest boozing and grazing event held in NYC pretty much ever. (We'll be on the scene to report and photograph all the drunken chef interviews, Food Network Star stalking and, of course, over-the-top grub).
The cornerstone of the four-day event is the Grand Tasting, a $150, three-hour tour through the kitchens of some of New York's culinary heavyweights. Who, you ask? And what will they be serving? We reached out to 13 participating chefs for a first look at their menus, as well as late-night memories from food festivals of yore.
Interviews include (pictured, clockwise from top left) a very pumped-up Joey Campanaro (The Little Owl), Marlon Manty (Johnny Utah's), Anita Lo (bar Q) and Pete Daversa (Hill Country). —Matt Rodbard
