Currywurst Bros.

Throughout history, we've counted on brothers to accomplish great things: Frank and Joe Hardy (solving mysteries), Mario and Luigi (cleaning enemies from the pipes), George and Jeb Bush (various things). Expect nothing different from the Currywurst Bros. at their Bleeker Street storefront. The real surprise is not their preparation of the classic Berlin brat—it's available in pork, veal, beef, smoked turkey, chicken and low-fat poultry—but rather in the curry powders available for sprinkling atop the tomato-sauced tubesteaks. Options range from the "very mild" purple curry with hibiscus, cardamom and garlic, to the "very hot," paprika-laced Jaipur curry, to the "extremely hot" dragon star curry smoldering with habaneros. Patrons can take their 12-inch wurst for the road or hang out in the patio space out back.
