There are only a few tables at Elvie's - it's more of as a takeout place - but it's one of the best destinations in the city for authentic Filipino cuisine. Only about eight dishes to choose from, and a couple daily specials, the grub is ready to serve behind the counter. Choose one dish for $4.50 or two dishes for $7.75, which comes over a plate of rice. If you can't pronounce Paksiw Na Pata or Sinigang Na Baboy, just point.
