All who enter this subterranean restaurant do so by way of glamour—down a stately spiral staircase leading to a plush, post-modern dining area outfitted in bold shades of reds and oranges, mirrored ceilings and a glass Leger mural adorning an entire wall. Formerly of Bouley, Chef Julian Alonzo’s culinary creations blend brasserie basics with contemporary American, evident in dishes like filet mignon au poivre, roasted rack of lamb with pickled watermelon rind, and line-caught Chatham cod with fiddlehead ferns, fava beans and yellow tomat. Like your typical brasserie, the sides are a la carte and include selections like goat cheese croquettes, pommes frites and sweet pea truffle risotto. On the sweet side, choose from a long list of "hot," "cool" and "really cool" desserts.
