Marche du Sud
“A French Citarella” is how chefs Adil Fawzi and Anthony Raggeri—two classically trained Parisiennes—envision this Upper East Side market-cum-restaurant, an offshoot of their five-year-old spot around the corner, Bistro 61. Expect gourmet French groceries and fare perfect for noshing on while you peruse Le Monde: tartare, anchovy paste, various pates, foie gras and duck delicacies. A highlight: the tarte flambee Alsatian pizza, served very thin, crispy and light; it can be ordered by the slice to eat in, or as a whole take-home pie. The rustic, U-shape space will also include a wine bar and a garden.
