Late risers and bon vivants will be glad to know about Norma's, where
breakfast, the restaurant's raison d'etre, is served from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. The room is a few steps up from the Parker Meridien's rather imposing lobby.
It's a dramatically lit, windowless space that evokes an art museum restaurant.
Here's it's breakfast that's the art form. Both fortifying and transporting,
the Alabama biscuits with chicken and wild mushroom gravy translated
into two flaky, buttery biscuits, split and filled with a caramelized stew of
softly shredded poultry and fragrant fungi. This is the kind of food to soothe the weariest of
souls or palates.
