Like an aging classic car suddenly pimped out with new rims, paint and engine, Paradou has found itself with new drive in the last few years as the Meatpacking District has exploded with young crowds descending onto the trendy restaurants and clubs. Amidst all hype, this cozy little French eatery has remained, thankfully, unscatched. Couples huddle in its blue and rustic-blond farmhouse dining room over a Provencal menu of duck magret and Berkshire prok osso bucco, while brunching gals gab over champagne and caviar-and-crepes in the spot's most attractive aspect, it's delightful garden patio with a seasonally-retractable tent roof. Live music and "dirty bingo" also keep things from getting stale.
