For years Upper West Siders continue to follow their noses to this upscale, if slightly-stiff, French-Mediterranean restaurant (named after a Southern French green olive), largely because of the pugnacious whiffs coming from the famous temperature-controlled Cheese Cave where, after a meal of dayboat seafood and seasonal game, a fromager pairs dozens of artisanal cheeses with international wines.
