Boss of the brasserie Keith McNally expanded his wardrobe beyond the red leather and zinc of Balthazar and Odeon and the fur of Pravda to incorporate subway tiles and schnitzel at this Austrian-French hotspot. Like him or not, the British-born restaurateur knows how to deck out a piece of downtown real estate: every night this Euro-rustic one's bar is packed three-deep with long-legged fashion and banker types downing short-glass wine ("cheap", "decent" and "good") or cocktails like The Delancey. Reservations, a must for the small farmhousey tables, will yield a solid meal of steak frites, mussels and striped bass. The urinals downstairs are turn-of-the-century...and giant.
