Chop Suey replaced Foley's FishHouse Restaurant. Foley's should have stayed. Food was not salvagable by the great view or location. Chicken wings were so thickly armored by Batter that it needed a hacksaw to get to the meat. The spice pairings with the food left the diner pining away for the good old days of just simple salt + pepper rather than biting into questionable pairings of chili and spicy peppers with potato and pork fat. Even simple creme brulee with cinnamon left one wondering "where's the cinnamon?". The new decor and layup while certainly "interesting", left certain seats gazing into the sun's glare, even when the staff thoughtfully pulled the white insubstantial sheer curtains closed. They also should have left the center tables raised so that in the far fetched instance that there were enough patrons to even fill the center area, that everyone would have a good view of Times Square. At best, this restaurant's offerings were Pedestrian, and so in that tone, "Walk on by". I have a feeling it won't be there long.
